13 first class looks from Graduate Fashion Week 2018

A*'s all round!

Graduate Fashion Week 2018 was definitely a place to see and be seen. Here are some of the stand out student outfits from the week...

Graduate Fashion Week 2018 was, quite frankly, amazing. We saw some truly phenomenal work from talented young designers on display (many of whom we’re sure will be big fashion players in the future), but we also walked away with some serious style inspiration.

Because Graduate Fashion Week isn't just about showing off your work, it's about showing off period. We saw some amazing outfits over our time there and have rounded up some of our faves to share with you.

Here are 13 first class student looks from Graduate Fashion Week…

Name: Fiona

Occupation: Fashion and textiles student

IG: @s0ft.noodle

Why we love it: So not to be dramatic, but Fiona's outfit is literally perfection. The fashion and textiles student has nailed clashing colours and perfect coordination all in one fit, and we especially love the earrings and sunglasses.

Name: Jahqira

Occupation: Image maker

IG: @jahqira

Why love it: Snakeskin definitely doesn't get enough love as some other animal prints, so we're big fans Jahqira's shouty snake shirt. Overall , we just love the super-casual simplicity of this look - it proves you don't always have to go all out to stand out.

Name: Jamie

Occupation: Photographer

IG: @jtyerman21

Why we love it: Controversial opinion, but the Semi-Frozen Yellow Yeezy V2's  (as modelled by Jamie) are the only pair of Yeezy's worth owning. Feel free to @ me about that (_mxtcalf_). The rest of the outfit is low-key and nicely tailored, which helps the aforementioned crepes pop even more. Ye would be proud.

Name: Dan

Occupation: Photography lecturer

IG: @danszor

Why we love it: We're big fans of New York menswear brand NOAH, so this tee instantly caught our eye. When we saw how Dan had channelled the best dressed man in Hollywood (Shia LaBeouf) to finish off the rest of the fit, we were sold.

Name: Elizabeth

Occupation: Fashion and textiles student

IG: @elizabethwibley

Why we love it: Do we really need to say why we love this?! The all-pink outfit is such a strong look and the green accessories set it off perfectly. Also, the way that Elizabeth's dark tattoos contrast with her bright clothing is very aesthetically pleasing.

Name: Jago

Occupation: Designer/musician

IG: @jagosagar

Why we love it: Jago's gone for a high-fashion twist on a military vibe and we're here for it. We especially love the coat, which he bought at an army surplus store and customised to make it more unique to his style. Top points, sir.

Name: Heather

Occupation: Artist

IG: @heather_glazzard

Why we love it: We love the way that Heather has contrasted the colour of her hair with her bright orange T-shirt, it makes both colours really pop. This is also a great example of how to utilise a slogan tee effectively - watch and learn, people.

Name: Jack

Occupation: Menswear designer

IG: @jckcpstck

Why we love it: This look is very high fashion and a perfect example of how to make something ordinary (in this case, a white shirt and black  trousers) extraordinary with the use of some unique accessories and details. We especially love the Off-White belt and use of bondage gear as everyday fashion (if you like this vibe, make sure you check out Jack's work on his Insta!).

Name: Ellie

Occupation: Fashion and textiles student

IG: @stvnicks

Why we love it: It's hard not to appreciate a nearly all orange outfit that is done this well. We love everything about this, from the furry skirt to the colour of Ellie's hair. 10/10.

Name: Yottie

Occupation: Retail assistant/musician

IG: @yottiezapantis

Why we love it: This is another great example of how to incorporate military wear into a modern menswear fit. Both the vest  and the bag are army surplus, which gives the whole look a real authenticity.

Name: Yana

Occupation: Fashion and textiles student

IG: @yanaasmith

Why we love it: Yana's co-ord set and cat eye sunglasses is a seriously classy combo. Neon is big news this season, and Yana's pulled this tricky shade of lime green off with aplomb.

Name: Lauren

Occupation: Image maker

IG: @lozzycorless

Why we love it: Skepta 97's, leopard print trousers AND a lime green shirt... need we say more?

Name: Joshua

Occupation: Fashion and textiles student

IG: @snakeskinsoup/@amberleafqueen

Why we love it: You have eyes, so it goes without saying that this whole look is amazing! The make up, the hair, the mix of purple tones - it's such a huge look, we're still not over it. This is by far one our favourite looks from the event and it didn't even come from a runway!
