7 colours you need in your AW18 wardrobe

New season, new colours...

Autumn is nearly here, and with it comes a whole new fashion season full of new colours and styles. Here are the tones you need to be rocking.

It's time to freshen up your look and put your summer clothes away for another year (sadly). But what's next? Here are AW18s most delicious shades...

Orangeade

All the leaves are rocking orange, so you should be too. The likes of Jeremy Scott, Moschino and Lanvin all included orange tones in their AW18 collections, so whether you want to go for something more muted like a russet tone or something bright and in your face, they'll be plenty to choose from.

Beautiful browns

Autumn is all about nature, so natural tones are must - think browns like rust (favoured by Calvin Klein and Self-Portrait), or all neutrals such as tofu (which featured heavily in Fashion East and Ashley Williams AW18 collections).  However you want to rock them, natural hues are great way to ground more vibrant colours and bring an outfit together.

Royally blue

Blue isn’t necessarily a colour that springs to mind in the autumn, but that’s all about to change this year. Nebulus blue played a big part in the Toga and Tibi AW18 runway shows, and Sargasso Sea kept things grounded and elegant for Blue Marine and Tadashi Shoji. Both shades are a welcome addition to the autumn colour palette and are a must have in your wardrobe this season.

Earthy greens

Moss green is set to be one of the biggest colours this season, but the fashion world’s appreciation for green doesn’t stop there. Martini olive - a more muted, subtle shade - played a huge role in the Simone Rocha, Erika Cavallini and Maison Rabih Kayrouz's AW18 shows.

Mellow yellow

Yellow may be  spring/summer staple, but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere in the colder months. Lanvin, Bottega Veneta and Roksanda all made use of mellow (and not so mellow) yellows to bring some colour to their autumn collections, and you should too.

Saucy reds

You might associate deep red with Christmas, but this season big fashion houses such as Givenchy, Bottega Veneta and Roksanda, want us to break it out early, and who are we to refuse?
